We mill a range of organic, UK grown grains to produce wholemeal stoneground flour. Some of these flours are then sieved using a water powered wire machine ( follow the link for an article about our wire machine restoration) to give finer flours with reduced bran content.
We generally mill to order to ensure that the flour is as fresh as possible, so we do not hold large stocks of flour at the mill. Ours is a slow process, our restored machinery is well over 100 years old and relies on the supply of water from the River Wyre which varies in level with the seasons. We ask for your patience at some times of the year, as orders may take a week or two to produce.
Felin Ganol complies with the requirements of the Welsh Organic Scheme Standard and EC Regulations No 834/2007 and 889/2008 and is certified by Quality Welsh Food Certification. A copy of our current certificate can be provided on request.
